Default LIFT KIT QUESTION!

I have a 2003 dodge ram, 4x4... i was wondering if i got a 3 inch lift kit would that make that much of a visual difference, and would i need to upgrade to a new tire package? or could i keep my original stock setup with the 17 inch rim which is preferred.

Default RE: LIFT KIT QUESTION!

I have a 2005 and just lifted mine with new torsion keys up front (2-3") and a add-a-leaf in the rear (3"). I just got my new rims in the mail, they are Mickey Thompson Classic Lock 18x10. I'm upgrading the tires in a few weeks to Mickey Thompson MTZ's in 325/65R18. I would definitely recommend upgrading the tire size, because with the stock suspension leveled out, the truck looks like it has weenie tires with the 265/70R17 on it. You also might get better responses if you post this in the 3rd Gen ram area.
