Default Better sound and milage

ok, i know there have been tons of posts on exhausts but i just need some clarification. i have an 04' ram 4.7 quadcab off road and i'm looking to get better sound and milage out of an exhaust system. i like the flowmaster sound, my neighbor has one on his 04' hemi. what can i do? can i just get a muffler and swap it out with stock one? will that get the better sound and mpg that i'm looking for? its a lot cheaper that way. i think i would prefer the dual out the back but i've read on here that some guys say you lose performance with that and others say opposite. so any help i would appreciate it. just tell me what i need to get better sound and mpg. thanks guys.

if you want cheap, get an acetylene kit, and cut the exhaust right after the manifolds..itll be louder..

AM exhaust will make it sound better,...im not sure about improved mileage

The muffler alone will give you the same sound and other benefits from the change. Good Luck.

i have the flowmaster cat back setup. I got it for $320 delivered from summit. It comes with two tailpipes with stainless tips that exit behind the rear wheels. If you want you can take off the tips and add two long tips and run it under the bumper. I read a 1mpg gain on my trip computer after installing. I installed it myself in the driveway in about 1 hr.

Hope this helps

I just ordered the Aero Turbine A3030 muffler. I have heard nothing but good things about this muffler. They have sound clips on their site. http://www.Aero-Turbine.com
