My new 2500 Ram Magnum
Hi I wonder if someone can help, I have just bought a 1999 250 Ram Magnum and was told it is a 5.9l someone reckoned it is a 5.2l how can I tell? Thanks in advance from a UK newbie.
welcome to DF...
there should be a sticker under the hood with either a 5.2l or 5.9l if that is not there, you can look above the starter on the side of the block... its stamped onto the block.

I think that if the truck is a gas motor, then the standard engine is a 5.9 (360cu. in.). The only other 5.9 that it could be is the diesel engine. I've never heard of a 5.2L (318 cu. in.) in a 2500 Ram. Just my $.02
