put some exhaust on it and crank up the radio. my truck could be falling apart around me and i wouldnt hear a thing cuz my radio is always blaring.

 

It's considered characteristic and I myself had experienced zero issues due to the knock. Though some people get bent out of shape over it.

 

nhbdaddy, it isn't the injectors. It is part of the Hemi valvetrain. Always has been, always will be, due to the design. One thing that will make it les noticable is a cold air intake.

 

I had rattiling noise in my 2003 it sounds like piston noise to me so I tryed synthetic oil though it would help but it made it worse

 

I have a 03 with 130,000 miles on it and it developed a ticking noise at about 90,000. i was told that it was normal. It only makes the noise when cold. Great news, it was a broken bolt in the exhaust manifold. Now i have no more ticking.
