Hemi Sports Package, is it worth it? Is it limited?
Question for you. You said that you are gettng a yellow Hemi sport Quad cab. Is that a Dealer paint job because I was under the impression that they only came in Red,silver, and black.
But all that aside I am in the same boat. I am going to pickup my Flame Red QC hemi sport on Tuesday. My MSRP is 34,300. the invoice price is 31,125. Minus 4,500 in rebates = 26,625. +7% sales tax =2,213(have to pay tax on the 4,500 rebate also)
for a total price of 28,838. which is pretty close to what I am getting it for.
It has taken me two months to get everything in order to buy it, and I absolutly cannot wait. It is an AWSOME truck. Congrats to you if you do get it.

YELLOW04QUAD.......No harm intended here because if you have a quad cab HEMI SPORT that is yellow then your dealer really put it to you in a bad way. You might have a ram sport model with a hemi, but the HEMI SPORT is only available in silver, red, and black. The solar yellow paint was only suspose to go on the rumble bees but found its way on some regular dodge quad cab trucks with the hemi. Not saying anything is wrong with your ride, but they just didn't make it in yellow, you may have been mislead on your truck by the dealer. I keep up with every truck DC has produced and I am the proud owner of a non limited, limited edition 04 rumble bee # 163 that was ricky craven's truck. Check your vin or pass it to me, all I need is the last 8 of the vin and I'll tell you what you have. There was a few dealers around here trying to make them something they were not. Steve White Dodge in Hickory, NC had several fake rumble bees, several fake thunder road editions, and several fake 2 tone paint color hemi sports, even down to advertising them as the real thing!!!
no, red shelby - I know my truck is not a HEMI SPORT, it IS the sport model quad cab. I was joking with shadow maker about a quad cab Rumble Bee - I am in the process of converting my truck to a Rumble Bee - I had posted the picture with the stripe but now it is not showing up.
I know all about dealers trying to screw people over (been there before with Mckinney Dodge) and I appreciate the .02
I DID however pay just over 23k for my truck that is a sport model - my bad not a HEMI SPORT - not trying to mislead anyone - I just put the words in the wrong order. I have however heard alot of people say that they payed 28k-30+k for almost the same truck I have. I have priced all neccesary equpment needed to comletely turn my truck into a Rumble Bee (or even a HEMI SPORT) and from the dealer (Dallas Dodge) those parts painted and installed came up to less than $3000 (I opted for the SRT-10 hood) with the trade in of my old hood. so that would bring the total cost of my truck to around $26.5k - so yes I guess then if you add the 4x4 then you are looking at just under 30k. 34k+ just seems like alot to pay for that truck. But then again The first guy I talked to that had a Reg Cab Rumble Bee told me proudly that he paid over 30 for his (the price of being one of the first I guess)
Bottom line, I wasnt trying to be a smart@$$ I just dont want anyone over paying for their ride

OK, I see what you are saying now....LOL. I thought you had picked up a HEMI SPORT, yeah thats not to bad of a price at all for the sport pkg., I've seen the yellow quads and they are sweet. I have a ton of graphics I've worked on if you need any ideas for stripes. Let me know, got a ton of bee stuff you could get a sign shop to cut for you.
I was looking into one of these 2005 "Limited Edition HemiSport Quad 4x4"s, taked to about 5 dealers in the area, a couple say - "Oh yeah, I've got them", then after futher questioning, I find out they're talking about 2004s NOT 2005 Limited Edition. After further checking and E-mails to the HQs. I was told the "Limited Editions" are just that, you need to find a dealer with enough umph (selling power) in the district to order one, they are apparently coming with special VIN#s, and only so many of the Limited Editions are going to be built. (The VIN information came from the HQs)
Having said that, I have no idea what the difference between a "Limited Edition" and Regular run of the mill one could be, neither could the dealers I talked to. Therefore, I said the heck with waiting, and got a Brand spanking new 8 miles on the odometer 04 for 10K off the window.
The "Sport Hemi" package is not "limited", I that most of the dealers that claim they have the "Limited Edition" ones have a 2004 with the hemi - sport package, and some extra stuff they put on it at the dealership. All the dealers I talked to Had "0" 2005s. And if I remember correctly "Limited Editions" are only available in 2005 year model.

If you want to get the best value for your money even if you have ambitions for more power, DO NOT waste your money on any packages Dodge offers other then the SLT the LARAMIE or of course the SRT-10. Theseare interior and component packages if you want leather seats or towing package you have no choice. Anything with supposed upgrade such as the Rumble Bee, SLT Sport or the Night Runner (looks real badass this might be an execption). All these upgrades you can get for alot cheaper and at least equal quality if not better ( Dodge does use Mopar), they are nothing more then marketing stratgies. My advice is reasurch all the packages and what you plan on doing with aftermarket upgrades, then work the most you can get from the dealer for a good price and do thew rest yourself.
