Default Ok Now I'm having issues

Ok folks I just got home and installed my slimline vent visors and my westin step bars, but has anyone installed the Daystar leveling kit? If you have could you give me a quick rundown on how you handled it?

yes, I've done a spring swap so the spacers should be about the same... disconnect your sway bar links, jack up the front of the truck (4x4 I assume) and let the axle drop as far as it needs to so you can pull the spring out, then you can bolt in the spacers. You might need to drop the axle another few inches to get the spring back in. When I did my spring swap, that's how I did it & it was very quick. HTH


oops, sorry didnt see you have an '04... this would apply to a '94-'02 with the solid front axle.

I have an oooopppps too, it's 2X4. I just want to know how hard is it to disconnect the tie rods and reconnect them in order to remove the coil springs?

i wouldn't disconnect your tie-rod ends, on your truck being a 2x4, i'd get a spring compressor & compress them that way to remove them. you can still try to drop the left & right suspension but I'm not sure how much travel you'll have to remove the spring. I bought spring compressors from Harbour Frieght for under $10 bucks. turns out i've used them several times already.

probably, but for $10 it's better to have them on hand for any future needs... $10 is cheep.
