Its a 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.2 litre engine, auto trans. I have some questions :

1. Does anyone know of common problems associated with this year Ram ?

2. IVe heard stories of the trans. giving problems in the mid to late 90's Rams ; what were they for my info?

3. What Trans and Rearend type is in the Ram im buying ? Is it considered heavy duty?

4. It has a 4:10 rearend gear. THis vehicle will be used with very limited cargo weight addition and will be used almost exclusively on the highway. Therefore, im considering a rearend gear swap to a much lower numerical gear ; what is the lowest i can go in this type Rearend ? Is it a relatively easy swap ?
