Default steering loose

I have a 98 ram 1500 4x4. I've replaced the steering gear box, drag link, tie rods, and steering stablilzer. The steeringisbetter then beforebut there stillmaybe a 2-3 inch play before the wheels turn, it's same either way i turn the wheel. Does anyone know what would be wrong. the only thing i canthink of is thesteering shaft. would the ball joints cause anything like this. Or would adjusting the gear box fix the problem

Wheel bearings? Not sure if you can adjust the gearbox or not, if you can I wouldn't know how to do it.

there is an adjustment of the steering box that can be made,
the track bar should be upgraded to a heim joint style bar
solid steel also makes a additional steering stabilizer that puts a bearing on the end of hte shaft coming out of the steering box so that you wont wear it out again.

steering shaft shouldnt cause this problem.
