VIN code. I have a problem figuring out 3 of my digits. All the other VIN digits I know, and this is what it is. USA, Dodge, Truck, GVW is 6k-7k lbs., 150 series, year = 1982, serial #, production plant.

These are the digits I can't seem to find anything on.

the 5th digit = W --- I can only assume this means W model, which is correct. My truck is a 4x4 that is designated by the W. For further note: D model is 2WD models.

Body Style is the 7th digit = 4 --- Just by looking at my truck its a:: standard cab, 115 inches Wheelbase, 6.5-foot bed. No info can confirm what a 4 means in my VIN.

Engine is the 8th digit = S or could be 5 --- Currently is a 5.9 360 carb. No info can confirm what a S(5) means in my VIN.


I guess I will have to wait for the build sheet to arrive.
