where's the trans temp sensor located? my haynes manual doesn't even mention it. i assume i have one.

 

In RE transmissions, the thermistor is part of the governor pressure sensor assembly and is immersed in transmission fluid at all times.
The governor pressure sensor is mounted to the valve body. Pan removal is necessary, but the valve body does not need to come out to replace it.
