Default what size tire?

currently i have the OE 17 inch wheel and 245 tires.

i was wonder the follow:

1. will i be able to increase my MPG a bit if i put bigger tires on?

2. what is the biggest size tires i can put on without lifting and without rubbing fenders (using the existing wheel)

3. should i change to 16 inch wheel? would a bigger size tire with 17 inch wheel look ugly?

Tks

its a 04, 1500 Hemi QC

Default RE: what size tire?

1. Increase gas mileage with larger tires? Probably not.

2. Biggest tire on existing wheel? 285/70x17, 305/70x17, maybe 315/70x17

3a. Change to a 16" wheel? Won't fit. The brakes on the new Rams are too large for anything less than a 17" wheel. Some aftermarket 17" wheels won't even clear the brakes.

3b. Bigger tire on a 17" wheel ugly? Depends on the tire.
