hi all

I just bought myself a nice 1990 dodge ram 150.after driving a 1992 ford ranger with a 3.0 L this different, my problem is that i find that there is no passing gear or kickdown or is this normal ? or is there a cable that i should check. other than that the truck is in great running order besides the rattling somewhere in the pulleys in the front of the motor. I bought the truck to haul my 1976 prowler 21 foot trailer which ways 2126 kg . thanks all

found out what the problem was on the passing gear situation. it was the rod came off of the transmission linkage. works and shifts great now.

 

this was also the worst piece of **** i ever bought, dont buy any dodge product.as the motor blew up and i wasn't even giving it gas . passed a tractor and hay wagon and it blew up .maybe cause i bought it from an ******* named RAY TURTON in harriston ontario, his dealership is called CALRAY AUTOMOTIVE.very sneaky guy.

 

Did you talk to him and see what he might be willing to do for you? Because if not, I don't think you have any right to deride him. Give him a chance to make it right.

Also remember that this truck is nearly 20 years old.

And if you bought a half ton with a V-6 to pull a 2.5 ton trailer, you're a fool and deserved to blow an engine for overworking it.
