Default Tires

We just got our 2006 Sprinter with 118 inch wheel base and really like it! Question, the sticker on the vehicle says to inflate the rear tires to 70lb yet the tires say max inflation pressure is 65lb? What gives??

Called the dealer, he said just to inflate to 65 lb. Sounds like a cop out to me. Called the customer assistance number in the owners manual, and they told me to talk to the dealer.

Default RE: Tires

I would go with 65, even if the sticker on the vehicle says 70.
The reason for this is because the tire is only designed to hold 65PSI cold.
You would go with the vehicles sticker if the tire was rated for above 70PSI.
*Such as, my tires are designed for like 50PSI, the vehicle sticker says 35. I actually went with 40, but, oh well, it's not outside the limits of the tire.*
