Default AFRAID????

Hi, i want to purchase a new spinter 3500 or next model down but have been hearing nightmare stories about the spinter, for my needs this is the van for me but i also don't want it to be in the shop half the time, should i wait for better product?

p.s. van will be used for freeway travel with light towing.

If you're going to do towing with a Sprinter, it must be light. The weight limit is around 3500# towing.

Also, I use to subscribe to a Sprinter only forum. Make sure you get the Sprinter with the correct rear axle for towing. The HD rear axle is popular with the UPS and FedEX versions.

If you are looking at an 2005 or later model 2500, there is not enough room between the wheel wells on the duel wheeled model to get in a full sized pallet. I have a 2005, 158 wb with 150k and have run into a few minor problems, about $1500 worth of repairs and only a few days down time.

The company I work has 3 Sprinters, 2 3500 and 1 2500 series. We drive about 100K a year on them and have some problems but must were related to an early aftermarket balancer installed for the rear A/C unit. I do have to admitt that we do not do any towing with the vehicle but would be happy to discuss any questions you have and address any the problems that you have heard about as we have most liekly had them and found the solution for them.
