hello i have a 92 dodge stealth es . the car came with a double overhead cam engine wich was put in before i bought it.the kid bfore me had blown the engine and bought another one from a junk yard.i think the engine he put in the car is newer do to it has a cam sensor and crank sensor on the pully side of the engine wich the original wiring harness does not have hook ups for.the kid never got it running.i was woundering if theres a way to make it work.i also purchase a engine out of a 92 at a junk yard but it was only a single over head cam.i bought the wiring harness and computer with the engine to make sure if i had to change it out i could.what would be the smartest thing to do.i also had some smoke come out of the driver side dash when i treid turning it over????? any help would be great. thanks

 

what engine is the dohc he bought? is it a 6g72 or 6g74? Or from a totally different vehicle?

 

wisest choise probably would be to put a SOHC engine with it's own computer in, or buy newer computer for that newer engine.

 

most people mod their steath, and if your gonna mod stay away from the sohc.

 

the blownengine thatcame out of vehicle is a 6g72. is there a code on the engine that would tell me what the newer one is ?
