Default possible engine blow

I was driving about 45mph, then to get around a fan I went to maybe 50-55mph and all of a sudden my car drove funny for a second, rpms dropped to 0, I lost power steering and pulled over in a parkinglot with my remaining speed and it will try to crank but it wont, all the engine lights and stuff comes on when I crank but it just wont start, any ideas on what it is?

i would try blaming the computer, i had exact same thing happen to me except it wouldn't even crank. i waited for five minutes and she started as if nothing happened. i'm still puzzled over some of the things these cars can do. You can start checking things that are obvios, does the motor get fuel and does it get spark
