i have a 91 es stealth and when i bought the car it was nice but it started smoking a little itdid not over heat so i keep my eye on when it iwould sit at a light and it would smoke then i had my son so i did not drive it and the day i came home with him i went in the garage and went to start it it ran but then it made a pop noise under the hoodand would not start back up its been 5yrs now a i love that car i got a motor in 06 for 600 but it was a bad can someone help i realy want to drive my baby

Yeah, under duress they might pop...followed by a cloud of steam and coolant. This one sounds like something popped right after start which would lead me to believe it is not a head gasket issue. Sounds to me like the timing belt should be checked out. Even if it was a head gasket, it should still try to start.
good point, it should try to start, and when turning over, you would probably hear on the power stroke all of the pressure escaping out of the head gasket.

it never leaked coollant the timing belt broke and it has bad compression and since then i have taken the motor out of my car. what should i do get new heads or put the motor back inand let soone look at it againor what i need help please i really like my car im dying to drive my car i only drove it a year before it went bad .ps the car has 112000 onit doesanybody no if the bottom half of the motor goes bad
any half of the motor can go bad... first you need to get more into detail on what happened and how and why you've ripped out what you have.
main point is, you can't fix which you don't know what's wrong, so you should trouble shoot for something that's wrong first to narrow the choices

The reason the compression is bad is likely because you bent some valves. At the least, pull the heads and check the valve train and for damage to the pistons. Minor scarring on the pistons can be cleaned up at a machine shop and the heads can be fixed up by a machine shop as well.
