car trouble starting
my 92 dohc es has been having trouble starting. It will crank but wont turnover for like 5 trys. then it does then dies all of a sudden. after about 8 trys it will start then will drop down till it aboutdies and i hear a clicking noise from my computer. after about 10 trys or so it starts up and drives fine and never dies while driving. not sure what to look for. could it be bad ground, bad computer, fuel problem or anything else?

RE: car trouble starting
I had a Base '94 with something similar to what you're talking about. It turned out to be something a bit simpler and less expensive than I thought. If it's the same thing with your ride, it's referred to as the "click-start fix." As I found out, this is something others 3S owners had problems with too.

There's a Stealth owner on eBay Motors (kbz1) who make and sells 'em for around $25 with free shipping. If you search with "3000gt click" you'll find him. I was glad i didn't spend bank trying to fix it. It worked for me.

RE: car trouble starting
i figured it out. I took my ecu out today to see if the caps were leaking and they were and put that nasty corrsion on my circuit board. I used a very small flat head screw driver and a very little bit of electric contact cleaner and carefuly cleaned my the cloged circuits. my car starts right up now. Im still gonna replace the caps, their just on their way. thanks for the help

RE: car trouble starting
check if it's getting any fuel. unplug the fuel hose and crank it, if it sprays gas out of it then problem is somewhere else. If car doesn't start i try to get it cranked then check for gas then check for spark, then timing and then the complicated things follow like computer, injectors and etc. Could aslo check the motor for compression.
