If your car is an automatic, you may want to send in the TCU as well. It has the same capacitors in it. Same with the ECS computer...if your ES has that.

ECMTOGO will recommend you check to Ohms on your IAC (idle air controller). If it is testing out of spec, it will cause your ECU problems in the future.

Other than that, it is a plug and play deal...just make sure you have the battery disconnected...save your radio codes if you need too.

I have a manual 5 speed so the TCU is not an issue. I have taken the IAC unit out and cleaned it before but don't know how to check the ohms as you suggest. Is this difficult?

Just got my ECM back last week. There is someone here locally that works on them.He removed and replaced the bad capacitor and now the engine runs perfectly. In addition I check the idle air control servo and it checked out fine.Thanks for you help.
