what exacitaly is the diferance mechanically between a non turbo rt and a non turbo es? i know there are body differances but is there anything mechanically diferent?

I don't think ES's came with ECS suspension...
They are the same drivetrain/engine wise.

got a friend here with an rt... it doesnt have the active suspension either.......

rt's the luxury models...
es base models...
they came with different options...
my rt has esc ...
thats what i've been told...

No FWD's had 4 wheel steering. After a little research, ECS was an option for RT's and ES's
