Default NEED TRANSMISSION FOR MY '91 TWIN TURBO

I just found out that i need a new tranny on my 91 stealth twin turbo.
The car only has 56k miles on it.
I don't want to drop too much money.
does anyone have any suggestions about finding a new tranny?
does anyone have one for sale?

thanks

I don't want to drop too much money.
personaly i don't think that statement goes together with stealth.
you can try ebay or find somebody that is parting out their cars

Yev is right, not much money and stealths are two statements that just don't go together...

What leads you to believe you need a new tranny? Grinding when shifting into 2nd and 3rd?

You might be better off getting yours rebuilt. Googe Kormex transmission in California, or Jack Transmissions in Colorado. Both are reputable rebuilders for this platform...or you could take your chances with an used tranny.

Well... my reverse tore itself up... and 4th gear was always a stiffy.. sometimes hard to shift into on the highway. My mechanic gave me a 2500 dollar quote with out labor when he was looking for a used transmission. So 'not spending too much money' is a relative term. I am aware that 'stealth' and 'inexpensive' do not go hand in hand. I just don't want to spend more money on the tranny than i did on the car itself.

Thank y'all for directing me to these links.. I will check them out.

if any other suggestions come to mind, please let me know

thanks
