Performance Chips/Modules?
I was searching ebay for Stealth items just for fun and never thought of performance chips or modules. Are these worth it or hard to install? I found a few: a Horsepower performance chip, a Pro Choice performance Module, and a Mac! Racing performance module. Anybody know anything about these?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are nothing more than snake oil. If you do decide to get one, spend a few extra bucks getting a baseline dyno-pull, install the chip in the parking lot (since they claim easy and quick installation), then dyno it again. That would be the only true way to know if it works...I think you will be disappointed.
a friend of mine bought one for his porshe, he got about 10 less hp than he started out with. The only way to get the performance chip is to burn one your self. As far as i know there is no equipment to burn chips for stealth readily available so better to stay away from them. I am trying to get some equipment to start burning chips for my bird.
EDIT: I just been reading the feedback of some of those guys and it speaks for it self. One actually pointed out that it is a resistor lol.

I foolishly picked up a similar chip (resistor) off of ebay a couple of years ago. The way the one I had worked, was it told the ECU that the intake air was colder than it actually was, tricking the ECU into running a richer mix. That was fine until winter came along and the chip caused the ECU to flood the engine.

Ah that sucks. I don't drive my car in the winter though. But, I was just curious on these, the price mainly was what shyed me away from them. Thanks for the feedback guys!
oh yeah tust me I got that Venom 400 thing for my ES model and it didnt do anything. I got it for free but I would never pay for one, at first i thought omg its so much faster but i realized it was just my high hopes.
dont even waste your time on them, maybe if you have like 400 or up then maybe you would gain something like 5 -7hp at max
