Default upgrade

I was wondering I have a stock 94 tt and I need to get some new turbos. What would be the best solution, getting replacements or is there anything i can get better without making any other mods, and where can I get a good deal.

If you are just wanting a small bump in power, the 13g's are a good, bolt on way to go. You can run them with minimal mods, since they are the size turbo's the Euro GTO's (3000gt) had.

If you want a little more, check out Dynamic Racing's DR500's. You will need some mods to run those safely, but they are what I would consider the next step up. There are a few guys on 3si that can modify your stock 9b's for more power.

When upgrading turbos, you'll need to upgrade the fuel delivery. The stock system will not keep up with much bigger turbos than stock. If you plan on running more than 10-12lbs of boost, get a real gauge and a datalogger.

If i upgrade would i need to get an intercooler as well or maybe some headers first. Or would the fuel injectors and fuel pump be enough to maintain the upgrade.

And would you have a estimate on how much all those options would cost

Also can you rebuild your turbos, mine are 120,000 miles and leaking.

would it be better to replace them or rebuild them.

Also you saidI can send themto 3si and have them modify my stock ones, but which would be the best option.

Yes, turbo's can be rebuilt, relatively cheap compared to the cost of new ones.

There are guys on 3si that upgrade the stock housing. 3si is a forum, you'd have to search around to find out who as I can't recall their names off hand. I want to say Rob Beck and markoverclock are their screen names.

If you are happy with stock power, just get yours rebuilt.

To my knowledge, when they rebuild them, they are as good as new. Have you checked out Dynamic Racings DR500 series of turbos?

They are an upgrade from stock.

I've never had the need for rebuilt turbo's (yet), so I've never researched prices...

Check out dynamic racings turbo upgrade section. If I recall correctly, it says what all you need to safely run those turbos.
