Hey i am new to the forums, just joined today as I was looking for info on my 91 stealth I took into the shop recently.

What approx should it cost to get a CV done, fix an exhaust leak at the gasket, and have new rotors and pads put onto the front?

there is a possibility both CV's were in need of replacement but it only clicked in one direction but the other side had a broken boot.I was told awhile ago that my rotors were past the allowable wear thickness.And I think the exhaust noise was at the gasket where the exhaust pipes meet the exhaust manifold.

I dont know much about what shops charge but wonder if anyone can give me a ballpark as to what I may be looking at having to pay once this job is complete?

I just dont want to get ripped off and I have no experience at all with shops.

about $500 i woud guess if not more. Never had mine at a shop.

If your mechanic tells you it's going to cost $3K, take your car somewhere else immediately!

 

I got mine done for like 80 dollars, also had new axles put in too.

 

at tops it will problly be 700 thats maxprice
