There was a tapping on the intake side so i decided i would replace the lifters. I took it for a test run and got about 3 miles away and the motor locked up like i had thrown the timing belt couldnt do anything with it towed it home took everything i had done apart to see what i messed up but it all looked ok the timing belt was still on so i reprimed the lifters and put everything back together and eventually got it to turn over and it sounded awful. What did I do to my car Please help I love my car and want it back[&:]

take the heads off and see how that looks, also take oil pan off and see what's there.Sounds like bottom end needs a rebuild.

If you can start engine talk to some engine guy and let him listen to your engine on telephone. Don't do anything until you let somebody to listen. If you need to pay somebody 50 bucks to come to your place pay him. My dad called me from another state and I told him to let me listen to his knocking engine on his cell. Problem was solved in 3 minutes.
