Default Idle speed

93 R/T 5 spd
I just changed my computer since it went bad. they could not even rebuild it. Just to make sure I checked the ISC and it has a short. Honestly I never felt anything , when driving and probably I drove like that for at least 8 months to a year . With a/c rpm did not go up but actually did not slow down either. Got a new at rockautoparts good price about $75. When I put it in RPM went up and when switching on a/c it went even higher. Now I can cruise 40 miles/hour without tuching the pedal. So make it short somehow my rpm comes down but it takes a long time: 1 red light. Than we go again. I put back the old one with the short and idle is normal except it does not go up nor down whatever I do. I' m afraid to kill my computer by runnig around with a bad ISC. I compared the the new with the old and the new has a somewhat shorter rod the parth which goes itnto the throttle body.
The part# AC99 just for anybody if you have a problem? ALso this ohm is reading 41 and the old ones are 32 but they say it does not count.
Is there anyway to use the old one without damaging the computer?
Could it be that the new part even though it supposed to be good it isn't

Thanks

just unpluging it doesn't solve the problem but should not damage your computer. I have it unpluged on my firebird to get better idle with no problems untill i get enough cash to get a new motor
