Default obx headers and dipstick tube/dipstick

i just bought obx headers for my 92 es with the sohc..part of the header hits the dipstick tube causing it to not go on at all. can i bend my dipstick tube/dipstick without any negative consequences? and will it affect my oil read level?

also i might have to cut out part of the transmission support brackets under the oil pan. would that affect anything (i only have to cut out a very small portion of it, if i do at all)?

You should be fine bending the dipstick around the headers, it shouldn't affect the reading on the stick as the stick still has to travel the same distance through the tube.

As long as you don't have to cut too much, you should be fine trimming the tranny bracket.

How was the fitment of the headers? I've heard both good and bad about OBX products...kinda hit or miss.

the back fits fine, you just have to take off the rear engine mount

as for the front, youre gonna have to modify thetube to let the headers go on all the way..i havent put them completely on yet because i was unsure about the tube issue, but as soon as i do i will post watever i had to do to get them to fit
