Evil Coolant Level Switch
Hello Everyone,
I hope someone might be able to shed some light on my issue here. I own a 92 Stealth RT/TT 5 Speed manual. I'm restoring this car. (only 65k on the odometer) Quick history...I've replaced or rehabbed all the computers in the car, installed new plugs, wires, vacuum lines, ect...
I've recently drained all the fluid out of the radiator, I flushed it, then filled it. The low coolant light came on. Not the low windshield wiper fluid light. I removed the reservoir to clean the switch. Reinstalled it. Light is still on. Ordered a new coolant reservoir from Dodge with a new switch. Hooked it all up. Still says low coolant. I ran the car for a while to make sure it wasn't overheating. It's not, based on the temperature gauge.(Replaced temp sensor as well). I've hooked up my multimeter to the coolant sensor wire harness. I'm getting 12-13v. Fluid level is topped off. Why do I have this evil light on my dash! Please help! Just for giggles I tried tapping the sensor to make sure the unit wasn't stuck.
Best regards,
Mephisto
