what year is it? 94+ VR4's run 12psi from the factory. What power are you looking to make out of the car and what your primary use for it, will best determine what turbos you'll want to go with. Is the car up to date on all maintenance? Any issues with the suspension or oiling system? How's the oil pressure? How's the clutch and transmission?

There are a lot of things that you will want to do first, before you go diving into a turbo upgrade. Bigger turbos will do you no good with a busted clutch, etc, etc.

If you can tell me what power you are looking to get out of it, and what your primary use for the car will be, I can tell you the best bang for your buck set-up.

i just helped build a vr4 with twin 50 trims. started off with a stage 3 clutch. knowing we wanted to make pwr. after just turbos and intercooler lost 2nd gear. sent trans to sheppard racing to be built. also the boost 22psi took out the head and warped block when cooling problem happened. blew a pipe off and took out the fan controls. so aftermarket heads pistons machine work cams, cam gears. over 10k later gonna have a 600hp car. but what you really need to know is how much hp you want going in or you will buy parts twice, or break some.
