Starter prob, electrical, plz help me out.
Ok here it is i hope i can get some advice, ill explain it well,
92 stealth, starting problems. at first you would hear "tick tick" "tick tick" (not turning over, starter motor never gets power) when you try to start it up, then it would randomly start. Now when it did start it easily started. with this i figured the starter motor was fine, and the starters solenoid is not sending the (+) charge to the starter motor all the time. the "tick tick" would of been the washer inside the solenoid trying to slide forward and connect the 2 copper bolts.
ok now,
it then began to not even "tick tick" from time to time, and took more trys to start.
i replaced the solenoid now. problem is still there, but no more "tick tick". its dead until all the sudden it will start. now i believe the starter motor AND solenoid are fine, but the smaller wire on the solenoid to charge the solenoid is not sending power when it should.
i would love to see a full wiring diagram, this would probably be all i need, i cant find one online at all. the small black/red wire that engages the solenoid is hard to trace, and i dont know how the rest of the curcuit works. anyone know why that wire may not be turning on the solenoid?
this is my girlfriends car, i dont know the wireing history but it is possible that some idiot tried wiring a lot of it. she is relying on me to fix it, id really apreciate any help, thank you for reading the somewhat long post.

Maybe I can help you out, I went through a similar problem with my '91 RT. The short story? It was in the ECM.
Like you, I had intermitent starting problems, always that "click-click-click" and finally no click at all. Had it checked out by a friend who replaced the starter & solenoid switch. Same problem, in fact, it ruined another starter, trying to start it so much. Took it to a GM dealer where they replaced a relay switch (located at the passenger's left knee area) - this accomplished nothing. I pulled in to get gas on the way home from the dealer and "click-click-click" and no start again.
Finally, a friend suggested we pull the ECM and we took it apart. On close exam, you could see corrosion on a couple of resistors. First I tried to just get those fixed, but for reasons you'll see on this site:
http://www.avproecm.com/index.htm
You apparently can't just "fix" one little thing wrong with an ECM; it has to be gone over entirely then they plasti-coat it or something to keep the moisture out. (Click on the "CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS OF THE REPAIR PROCESS" link on that site and you'll see why. I sent my own ECM in and had it repaired, but I called and talked to them first. The person I spoke with was more than happy to answer my questions. Btw, their work comes with a lifetime guarantee , something you won't get if you check salvage places (yeah, I did that, too).
I got my ECM back in about a week, and it really did stop the starting problem! No, I am NOT affiliated in any way with that AVEPRO place, I knew I was taking a chance when I mailed them my ECM but they seem to be ok.
Good luck, I hope this helps. This is my first post, but if you have any questions, I'll try to check back here, or email me.

Thanks a lot for a reply, at this point i have decided to try and wire in a push button start switchthat will charge the solenoid and start the car. atleast for now, and, my gf likes the idea becasue of vipers having the push button haha.
hopefully nothing is wrong with her ecm, but the car has intermitently been running bad. hmm, thanks again, that site is bookmarked incase i need to do that.
