Default 93 Stealth Auto-Transmission Question

Automatic Transmission rebuilt about 2 1/2 years ago. It has lost overdrive. All other gears work great, and it shifts through gears 1-3 normally, with no hard shifting. When overdrive button activated, runs through 1-3, then feels like it goes out of gear and the engine revs when it hits 4th. Its been doing this about 6 months now, tired of wasting gas drivin without overdrive. Anyone have any ideas whether its mechanical or electrical? There a quick way to check it without a transmission shop telling me something "obvious"?

your end clutch is bad. It's like a $90 part, and does not require the transmission to be removed from the car, only the passenger side jacked up, and the end case removed.

Yea, I'm pretty sure it's like $90 or something silly cheap like that. Where are you located, if you don't mind my asking? If you're local to us, we could do it for you.

We live in north Georgia. Thanks for the offer, but I can do it. I've already replaced head gaskets, water pump, timing belt, and other stuff on it; just havent dealt with transmission issues and their diagnosis.
