Default 91 R/T ECU Questions

Alright guys, new to the forum but not new to the Stealth. I have a 91 R/T manual. Used to own a SOHC. Anyway, the new 91 is a problem car. I purchased it cheap because it was running on only 4 cylinders. I have replaced the PTU, MFI relay, and checked the ECI fuse. I also took out the ECU and found that the capacitors were leaking badly. Plus, someone had soldered some weird stuff on the board. None the less, the board looks terrible and that is the reason it does not run correctly. I purchased an ECU from the junkyard out of a 92 ES auto and plugged it in mine. Worked great! 2 to 3 minutes later the check engine light came on. Still drove great but after I turned it off, it would not start again. It turns over and does not fire. I had that board rebuilt with new capacitors because it looked to be in better shape than the original. Still does not fire up. The old crappy one still starts the car though. I am stumped. What else is there?

With the new ecu, does the check engine light turn on when you first turn the key on? If so, does it turn off after about 15 seconds?
