Angry Front speaker issue

I can usually figure this stuff out on my own but this one baffles me. I have a 95 stealth with the premium sound system, so it has a factory amp under the passenger seat. I swapped out the factory HU with an aftermarket Pioneer. When installing the HU, I used the Metra 70-7003 wiring harness to utilize the factory amp. The rear speakers sound great, but the front speakers are very weak (almost nonexistant). I tried swapping the audio output cables from the rear to the front thinking that maybe it was my HU, but no luck. I tested the speakers thinking that maybe I had connected something wrong in the process or they had blown during install, but they are working fine. I tried using just a basic wiring harness rather than the 70-7003 thinking that maybe it was the wiring harness itself or that the factory amp was just busted, but that didn't seem to work either. I have no idea why the rear speakers would work great but the fronts barely work at all. any help is greatly appreciated
