light won't shut off....
about a week ago i took my 92 stealth rt NA to the track and after i was done running her, there was this orange light that came on down near the coolant level light. i tried looking it up in my owners manual but it's all in french so that wasn't much help there...... i even went as far as trying to translate what it was on an online translator. it sounded to me that it was the light that would mean low window washer fluid, but that didn't seem right to me, since i checked all my fluids (coolant, oil, brake, washer...)and all were ok. the light is in the right side of the dash and two spaces above the coolant light, and right above the srs light. please let me know if this is important b.c it's really bothering me and it's stumped my friends and myself. not to mention that my car is my baby and i hate when anything is wrong with her......
I have the same exact problem. I thought for sure it was the low coolant light. It sure looks like it is but in my case it is the wiper fluid light. If i'm not mistaked the low coolant light is right next(below?) to it. Checked the washer fluid but it was ok. To me the light looks like a little radiator. I panicked at first but was glad to know it was a faulty switch. Hope this helps!
well thanks for the advice, i've done a ton of research all over the net and found that it is the low window washer fluid light. so i'm guessing my switch must just have went bad. so another question where is that sensor loacated at, i'm guessing in the fluid resovoir? b.c when i was up at a junkyard i found a 91 stealth r/t there that got towed b.c it was in a no parking zone for 5 days. so if it is just in the res let me know so i can go get the part for basically nothing.... again thanks a lot guys finding this site was a godsend since the stealth isn't the most common of vehicles for people to know about..
You right....3rd light up is the washer fluid level indicator. Mine went on before, and after filling up both tanks it was shutting off.
This time it wont. Unpluged the battery and is still lit.
Maybe the sensor went bad.
The engine stays cool when it is running, pwehhh...thats a good thing
Could definately use some guidance on how to check and/or replace the sensors.
Seen some post on the web that some Stealth models indicate indeed a coolant problem when the washer fuild light goes on.
