Default GAS IN OIL

Hey there, I own a 1992 Twin Turbo, and when I open up the oil cap, look in and such, I get a gasoline smell. Is this bad or normal? Does anyone know?

No that is not normal...or good. Usually a gas smell in the oil is a sign of bad rings.

I have a 91 dohc r/t . I had the same problem with gas geting into my oil. I made the mistake & kept driving it like that & blew my motor. Threw a rod through the bottom of my oil pan. I paid $1500.00 for a long block (new motor) zero miles from japan motor in san leandro, ca.
