Aftermarket Stealth/3000gt
I've been looking around for aftermarket parts for a dodge stealth, but not finding a lot such as cold air intake or exhaust. Will 3000gt parts match up with this? as long as its not body work of course...
planning on putting in a glass pack and putting new tips on my exhaust right now, i really like the sound of the stock exhaust.
what should be the first mod i do? cold air intake? lightened flywheel...

Short answer...Yes.
All mechanical parts from a 3000gt will work on your Stealth.
Nearly all body parts are interchangable as well...
Mods...whatever suits your needs and/or budget...a CAI won't net you much power, but will increase the "sound" when you punch it...a lightened flywheel is a good upgrade, but will not net any lower ET's on the 1/4 mile (I've heard launching with one is a bit tricky, but have no personal experience with one)... There is not a whole lot of upgrades for an NA Stealth...unless you want to really spend big bucks on internals...but even then, you will be lucky to get lower than 14's....as for the exhaust, whatever route you choose, do not remove the resonator between the muffler and catalytic converter...your exhaust will "drone" if you do. Your best bet would be to have a custom exhaust (mandrel bent) installed.

sweet... so not a lot of bolt on mods for the stealth, so should i maybe mess around with the eci? racing throttle body... different headers give me a little bit of hp? or should i just save the cash and go for something else?where can i find a custom exhaust and whats the price range?
is there a kit i can get for like the newer headlights on the GT or stealth? sorry for all the questions..............
you know your stealths

There are no ECU upgrades...they simply are not available. (don't believe those EBAY chip ads)
You can get a larger throttle body, but I don't think it would help unless you had a plenum/intake matched to it.
Headers are iffy at this point (only one company, 3sx, makes them, no Dyno results yet). They look nice (well made) though, and the will be an improvement over the stock exhaust.
The dealer or a junkyard would be your best bet for changing the plastic panels/lights, etc...I prefer the stock look myself, but to each his own.
I know a little bit...but most of my knowledge has come from being an owner for the last 6 years...
There is a running joke I've seen....The 3/S, making mechanics out of regular people since 1991.
