Many times, escpecially when cold and facing down hill it just fires right up and drives like a dream.
About 1000 yards down the road my check engine light comes on - and stays on in city driving...if I turn the car off and compression start it getting on the freeway it (the light)will NOT come back on...as long as I am driving plenty fast.
Anyway, if I'm driving around town and stop to get something when I come back a few minutes later, it either starts right up if I am facing downhill or rolled to the right a little, but if not I almost have to grind the whole battery down to get it to fire up, and it chugs a little..percolates sorta, then runs fine.
I did just clean my air filter, which was somewhat loaded with pine needles and sticks and stems , but not oily or grimy.
And the engine lite still comes ON in city driving.
Does my car have ghosts?
