Default Door Panel

I went to teh Park for some Community Fair on Saturday, and rolled my windows halfway down so that my car wouldn't be an oven when we returned to it. When we got back, I went to roll teh windows back up, but the passenger side window didn't roll up, or even attempt it. I tried both switches, the one on the passenger side and teh one on the drivers side, to no avail.

So of course, I set out to just pull teh dor panel off and troubleshoot. Can't do that, either. I figured that doing somethign as simple as pulling the door cover off would rely on nothing more than common sense, but there are some nuts I can't get to, and some covers over two screws that I can't remove.

So what I ask is this; has anyone else successfuly pulled their door panels. or better yet, replaced their power window motor? If so, could you tell me what tools were used, and a possible manual on it?

And and all help would be great, I would like to get my window up so that my AC would be a little more effective on teh interstate

Before you tear into it too far...make sure the "window lock" button on the driver side isn't pushed...

aheh...uh...wow I feel like an idiot >.<

well, for future reference anyway, I've been mostly expecting it to die fairly soon anyways, seeing as it moves half as fast as teh drivers side window. Nevermind the fact that the previous owner kinda beat teh door up anyways, as it's missing numerous moldings and is scarred in some places where he tried to glue teh moldings back on...and they only stuck on long enough to rip the coverings...and drip glue down it.

So, once I get some money, I am intent on replacing teh panel, and power window motor(on both sides), anyway. Is there a manual online, or is there a recommended spot to find a Service manual for a vehicle of that Age and Make(1991 ES DOHC)?

3sx has a manual. If you plan on keeping your car for awhile, I highly recommend this mechanics manual. It may cost $100+, but it is priceless in my opinion.

Stealth316 has a great write up on how to remove door panels, but the site seems to be down at the moment. I'll find the link when it comes back online.

Don't feel bad about pushing the "lock" button...we've all done it...
