Idle problem too
Hello all, first time user. I have a 93 Dodge Stealth 135k miles. I bought it new and my x-wife got it and wrecked it. Front end body damage only, but totaled. I bought it from the insurance company and had the body work done. It did not idle right, quitting many times, not always though, as I stopped at red lights. I adjusted the screw next to the throttle to keep the RPM's up and this worked for the past year. All at once a couple days ago I left work and it would quit at every light if I didn’t keep the engine revved up. I looked for vacuum hose leaks, just by eye. Any suggestions. I also had to have the ECI rebuilt the ECI (brain, I think) after I had the bodywork done. This thing is very expensive and didn’t want anything to happen to it.
I see in the threads that the IAC (idle air controller) might be a problem. Can anyone tell me where this is located and if there are other things that might be causing this problem?
Also, both windows are about to quit working. I took the door panel off and the cables are wore as well as the pulleys. I seen this assembly on Ebay for $150 - core a piece. Has anyone found a better price?
thanks for the help

The IAC is located below the intake pipe leading to your throttle body. Location, testing and replacing procedure found here.
I'm not sure how much the window regulator assembly is at a dealer, is $150 for new parts? You might want to call a local auto parts store just to be sure they don't carry them.

Thanks for the direction. After I posted yesterday I found a thread that had the break down of the IAC. I got it off and it Ohm'ed out to ~30 across the check points. Im going to clean it along w/ the throttle body & reassemble tonight. Someone stopped by while working onit and said that cleaning the throttle body might help.?
The window regulator was for a new (they claim better than new. stronger assembly than what the original had) assembly. It works out to $130 after core charge. i will check out the auto parts stores. thanks for the tip.
