do u think i can turn a 91 sohc base stealth into a 3000 gt vr4 awd ?

 

It would save you so much money to buy a VR4.

 

its just because i busted the engine... and cant find one to fit in... i payed 4000$ for the car and blow it same day.. its been 2 months now and i saw 4 mechanics in town and no one cant do a ****. Im getting madder every day and i was thinking of long time plan, I could completely rebuild this car... and maybe i was thinking if mitsubishi does 3.5 litter engine or bigger ? maybe i could fit it myself, i plan to take the mechanic class next year... i could change the wheel drive system to an Awd(( tracion integral ) in french) if that can be done and make of this car an awesome unique speed bomb with the 3000gt rear spoiler... cause i wont be able to sell my car without an engine...anyway we all can dream.
ps. if u didnt saw the 97 or 99 3000gt , chek some pictures
and ... just thinking of it... what about a nissan skyline.. thers one at the garrage i used to go, wow its so hot!!

 

If the shops you have taken your car too cannot work on an SOHC engine (the easiest one of the 3) what makes you think they will be able to weld in the rear subframe from a VR4 and make it work correctly??

 

To answer the question, sure it can be done. Then again, with enough time, money, and skill anything can be done. It would be extremely expensive to pull off unless you already had a complete VR4 donor car. If you did have a complete VR4, I would recommend fixing it instead of attempting to Frankenstien the Stealth. Just my $0.02.
