Default Might be buying Stealth

Hello Folks, I'm seriously searching for a Stealth to buy.I've found a 91rt at a reasonable price. My concerns are:155000 miles on car, engine rebuilt at 125k,new trans.,struts,A/C compressor, windshield, belts&hoses, car looks clean and straight.Flaws appear to be:seats damaged (frt) Roof panel is faided and dull.Owner states that SRS light stays on?? And also Sport& Trac light flickers??Do these lights reveal a serious problem??
I owned a 89 Buick Reatta for 7 yrs. It was an electrical nightmare! Are the Stealths like the Reattas?? Thanks I Refin

The blinking sport/tour light could be a couple of items. One of the connectors on the struts is bad/unhooked. The ECS unit is malfunctioning. ECS=electronic controlled suspension. The SRS (safety restraint system) light is for the airbag, could be a bad sensor somewhere. An old car with as many electrical gadgets as these cars have...some are bound to fail.

edit: If you have not, please read the buyers guide pinned to the top of this forum.

does he have papers or are papers available showing the rebuild was actually done??? and receipts for transmission??? those would be my main concerns i have the same problem with the sport trac light and mine is fine it has something to do with the cpomuter that controls the suspension and its locked in sport. no big anyways, if you are interested i have a 92 rt/tt for sale lemme know

Very good advice. If the owner didn't think to keep the receipts for such a big job, I don't know if I would trust him or not.

The ESC malfunctioning can and will cause your ECU to fail The two units communicate, and if the capacitors on the ECS board are sending improper voltages to the ECU, it will damage it eventually.
