Well if its making any unusual sound or if you have noticed a loss in horsepower id susspect its blown. My bother blew his turbo on his talon he noticed the problem right away, and if it is then you will have to buy a new one for about 800 bucks.
lol a turbo for 800 bucks? no way in hell. turbos are in the $1000s. 3SX Performance sell 2 sets of turbos, one being custom made for the 3000GT/Stealth.
Normally when your turbos go bad they will start leaking some oil around the shaft seals. Pull some of your intercooler hoses and Y-pipe to see if there is excessive oil in them.
another way to check for a bad turbo is the pull off the intake hose, stick your finger in the inlet and spin the compressor wheel by hand. It should spin freely and continue spinning for a second or two. If it feels "sticky" or won't spin freely, its bearings are probably clogged, and it needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
