Default Tour vs Sport mode

I never really understood what was the real difference between the 2 modes.. I have a 93 Stealth RT 23,000 miles..

Can anyone provide any details regarding the two? What is the real difference? When should you use either? When should I switch over, meaning when in park or during my drive?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I believe power mode makes your car switch at higher rpms, if you listen/feel carefully you will notice the change in it when it switches over. And as for a 93 with 23k miles, really nice find on that.

The Evil one is correct. PWR mode changes the shift point so it says in gear a little longer. There is a couple MPG difference between the two, but it is so slight I just leave mine in PWR mode all the time.

For the Tour/Sport, Tour mode is for cruising. Sport mode is for when you are in some twisties and want to drive a little more aggressivly. It stiffens up the shocks quite a bit.

While driving in Tour mode, the suspension will adjust automatically, ie. stiffening up under hard acceleration and cornering. I mostly leave them in Tour mode, unless I am on a particularly fun stretch of road.
