Default 95 Stealth Auto transmission help

About a year ago the transmission seemed to shift into neutral when the overdrive engaged. So I turned off the overdrive and the problem went away. But now it is acting up again. Now when I hit about 40 mph or more the transmissionslips into neutral until the car reaches 5 to 10 mph and it down shifts to 1st gear. All this happened when the shifter was in the drive position. However, I was able to drive it back to my house with the shifter in 2nd gear, never pushing it above 40mph.

Could this possibly a bad TCU or ECU, or is my tranny hosed?

I have the same exact problem myself except it will run upfine with theoverdrive off.Me and my father think its just a bad cellinoid... i'm getting it fixed hopefully within the next month. To get a transmission cheak its usuallyabout 80$ ... and if it is just a bad cellinoid it will cost anywhere from 200$ up to about 500$
