Default 98 transmission

[X(]my 98 dodge stratus trans is out of date and the trans shop said it will be $1095.70 of parts to make it like new should i pay $1576 or $1000 for a used one and put it in??? plz i need soo much help

Used is always a gamble (But sometimes you win). Most used have a replacement warranty in that they will get you another used one if the first is bad. Bad part is, you pay/supply labor for the swap out and even one swap makes a redone tranny cheaper and better than a used. $1600 vs $1000 for a completely rebuilt one seems worth it for the rebuilt. I've played the used game a few times and now will only buy used if I need a core to rebuild something.
