Hi Everyone. I will be financing my first used car- well, maybe. I'm not too car-saavy, but I need a decent car to get me thru my graduate school program.

I have a few questions for you all.

I am looking at a 2004 Dodge Stratus SE out of Wherley Motors in International Falls, MN. It has about 55 on it, but it seems to be in mint condition, smooth ride, comfortable. I am putting some money into it for a full, bumper to bumper warranty for either 5 years or the next 50k miles.

1. I have been reading horror stories of Stratus cars, are they really this common. Common stories of engines shutting off without warning,rotors warping easily,and fuses blowing out. What are some common problems that occur? Do they really happen this often?

2. Do Stratus' need any type of special care and main.?

3. Are there any specifics I should have checked before purchasing this car?

4. Do u think the bumper to bumper warranty is a decent idea with the rep some of these have?
