horrable sound on start up
okay Ive just bout my 98 strat less than a month ago.
Every things works fine on it, good AC smooth trani even thought it has 138 thousand on it.
any ways my question.
when i start my car it makes a grinding sound really loudly and makes this sound for about 45 sec to a min afterward.
has anyone else had this problem?

I think its the clutch on the AC air compresser but not sure.
what do you guys think?

Since you say this happens at start up, you may want to check your starter.I have heard of the clutch on the startersticking and you get a sound like that till it unsticks. Best bet is to replace.
