Default Huge Electrical problem

I have a 02 Stratus R/T that completely died. It was running fine the battery was juiced up and then all of a sudden when I went to start it... no power to any electrical components, it had no power. I know it wasn't the battery because it was replaced two weeks ago. Could the alternator be grounding out and destroying the battery? Or could it just be my luck and I need another battery. I tested the battery shortly after and it had a full 13 volts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Huge Electrical problem

when you say no power...nothing works at all, brake lights, keyless remote, anything? i'd start with the batt cables goingfrom the batt to the car. check for cleanness, tightness, and continuity. next check fuses and fusable links. any after-market alarms and/or audio equipment mughtdrain the batt and cause adead batt issue. i have gotten a bad batt from the store once before. it should read 11-13v with the car off, no less than 10v when cranking, and 13-16v when running. let me know.
