Today the check engine light came on, i stopped and could not start the engine again. I found out that it was a wire that had popped out, i plugged it back in again and the engine runs fine, but the check engine light is still on. I read that if I turned on the ignition 3 times the light would blink and pause telling me the error code! I testet that and I got the magic number: 12231455 does someone know what that means? And how can I make the light turn off?

 

I am not sure on the code, but if you unhook your battery for 15-30 minutes it will clear the error codes. If the light comes back on afterwards, the problem isn't fixed. If the problem is fixed and you don't unhook your battery, it should turn off after about 30 starts of the car.

 

A mechanic told me that all these codes came from the wire and all is OK, he connected it to a computer how deleted the codes for me ;D

 

95-97 MY (model year) codes.
12- batt discon within last 50 key turns or loss of cam/crank position sensor to ECM (eng comput).
23- intake air temp sens volt out of range.
14- MAP (mainfold air press) sens volt out of range.
55- end of codes.
