We are looking at a 2002 stratus. It has the 2.7 engine with air. 72000 miles. I know very little aboutthis make/modelcar. What is the good, bad, and the ugly? Many thanks, Brad

 

My daughter has the sameyear and motor, and has not had any major problems. She bought it with 30,000 on it three yrs ago and now has 92,000 on it andjust had toreplaced the struts last week. Ithasbeen avery reliable car for her. The motor is still runningvery strong.

 

UPDATE: On the way to town, we decided not to buy the car. Heis asking $5500. I forgot to include that. I cannot see out of it very well, along with a few other features we did not like. Thanks for everyones time, Brad

 

Make sure to do the 60k maintenance if it hasn't been done. The timming belt if crucial to be replaced at 60K if it snaps it's possible to have some bent rods, and you should get the water pump replaced at the same time. Just a few things to think about.
